Our 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗳 𝗘𝘅𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿, Dr. Pramod and 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗳 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿, Simon W. had the pleasure of attending the scientific seminar organized by the 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘀 (𝗜𝗔𝗦𝗠𝗘𝗗) in Jakarta. They met so many passionate and driven individuals — all united by one common goal – to make the country’s clinical trials ecosystem thrive.
Indonesia’s clinical trial landscape is evolving rapidly, with increasing government support, a focus on local health needs and greater adoption of technology. 𝗜𝗔𝗦𝗠𝗘𝗗 is playing a vital role in this evolution by promoting education, facilitating collaboration and raising public awareness. The country has set its sights on becoming a thriving developed nation by 2045 and is making significant leaps in its health transformation journey by optimizing the role of the 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗮 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 (𝗜𝗡𝗔-𝗖𝗥𝗖) and attracting more clinical trials investment, a necessary intervention that can cement its path to becoming a developed nation. Mayapada Hospital, Siloam Hospitals and other hospital are boosting the country’s Clinical Research infrastructure by developing a large number of Clinical Research Units (CRUs). Indonesia has great potential for conducting multiregional, regional and global clinical trials.
Expecto Health Science will continue to cultivate the clinical research ecosystem in Indonesia. We want to play a pivotal role in securing high quality clinical trials across the country and speed up the availability of groundbreaking treatments that are safe and effective, particularly the ones that match Indonesia’s needs.
